I offer a variety of services to benefit different modalities to align your life force, keep your body and spirit in balance, and provide a positive experience for pain relief. I utilize an integrative approach to massage health by exploring past experiences and family dynamics, and place an emphasis on identifying and addressing pain, limited range of motion, and whatever else you're experiencing, which can help us plan a course of action to develop positive life patterns.
Similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).
PRECISION NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY
A problem solving approach to soft tissue therapy that requires a higher skill level and a deeper understanding from the therapist. PNMT sessions aren't a formula; each session is tailored to your needs. PNMT is really a way of thinking, applying clinical reasoning in soft-tissue therapy.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE THERAPY
A safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
Specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. In this type of massage, you actively participate through deep breathing in addition to identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort.
The goal is to identify and then address the cause of the problem within the nervous system. It is then possible to stimulate and “reset” the nervous system in order to correct the problem. Through a detailed postural assessment I can identify the nerve root which is causing the problem. The treatment is painless, risk-free and specific. You remain fully clothed; no oils or lotions are used.
MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE
A gentle pressure technique used to move the waste fluids from the damaged area which can provide effective relief for those afflicted with lymphedema. Four basic techniques are utilized; stationary circle, pump, rotary and scoop are designed to manipulate lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels with the goal of increasing their activity and promote the flow of lymph.
Reflexology is a treatment where the therapist works on reflex points on your feet and hands that relate to specific organs and glands in the body. Relieves stress and tension; improves bloody supply and promote the unblocking of nerve impulses; helps nature achieve homeostasis.
There is no diagnosis or prescription. I make no claims of a medical problem.
